Forget about TDD!

That’s a very hard thing to start your learning journey.

Instead start by writing tests; Good tests!

Those you won’t break after each changement.
Those you may trust to predict problems before they happen!
In short, those that may help you reduce your debugging time !

Best advice is to start by applying Test F.I.R.S.T principles.
First here doesn’t mean “only” writing the test before the code. That is only the ‘T’ in it!

With this in mind, you will find your self learning a bit more about solid, about paradigms and about refactoring when needed.
Do your best and you will be soon ready for next step T.D.D
